Yesterday, the Indian Ambassador has presented his credentials to the Samoan Head of State, the Tui Aana. In the meantime, this year, 2023, India has officially become the most populous Nation on the Planet accounting for over 17.76% of the world's population. China is no longer the most populous Nation due to their One Child Family policies for half a century ago. The policy has worked reducing the Chinese natural growth significantly. In the meantime, China's economy is the second largest in the world, its development is by far greater than India, although, the Chinese economy has slowed down in the past two years, it is by far well ahead of India. India, was the only BRICS economy that had grown in 2023 whereas Russia and China had slowed down. India is still well behind in terms of local infrastructural development and modernity compared to Russia and certainly compared to China today. J35 and the Fujian launch. The J35 is ready for the Chinese Navy. The J35 when once the Fuljian is fully operational in 2024 will replace all J15s as the main Chinese combat aircraft on all three and potentially four Chinese Aircraft Carriers by 2030. The Chinese will have air superiority and dominance not only within the Green water and litorral waters but also within the Blue Water Naval combat zones. Which means that the Chinese Navy is now able to reach Samoa Islands in the middle of the Pacific with their Carrier Strike Groups and not feel intimidated by the American Carrier Strike Groups and their AEGIS systems and certainly not feel intiminated by the American JSF35s at all. Secretary of Defense, General Austin III, has visited PNG for the first time, in what can be accurately be described as the most Poweful Indigenous military presence in the South Pacific, the Papua New Guinea Armed Forces, second is Fiji, followed by the Royal Tongan Armed Forces. (DOD) Demilitarised by the British Empire are the Solomon Islands and Samoa who do not have military forces. Talisman Saber illustrates the Indo Pacific Nations within the Indo Pacific Military Alliance. Absent from this group are Samoa and the Solomon Islands. Again, as part of the German Colonial legacy except Papua New Guinea and their German Colonial Past, Samoa and the Solomon Islands were permanently demilitarised after the invasions of the Pacific German Colonies. Asau Port, Samoa was amongst the intended Chinese Strings of Pearl Chinese Blue Water Ports, as part of the Chiense Belt and Road Initiative.   The British Government via its Colonial outpost of New Zealand, had invaded Samoa in 1914. After Samoa had attained their Independence in 1962, Samoa was denied a military branch of Govenrment. This is the reason why the Solomon Islands and Samoa is highly valued by China. It is for their two Aircraft Carrier Fleets to find friendly ports for their Blue Water Fleets to visit and to replenish their supplies. The Shandong and the Liaoning Aircraft Carrier Fleets have recently conducted their inaugural Blue Water military exercises. In January 2022, the Liaoning had sailed to the Philippine Sea and near Guam their furtherest military exercises as Blue Water exercises. On April 2023, the Shandong Aircraft Carrier had conducted their first Blue Water military exercise in the Pacific Ocean, also close to Guam. This is the first time the Chinese Navy has travelled so far away from the South China Sea and from near coastal ports of the Chinese coastline. Samoa was divided under the Berlin Tripartite Convention ratified on the 2nd December, 1899. The Tripartite Convention was made effective on the 16th February, 1900.  On the 16th February, 1900, American Samoa was officially an Territory of the United States of America. Tension had arisen when the three powers, Germany, America and Britain were fighting over the control of the Samoan Islands. The decision was decided with Britain surrendering their claims for Samoa with claiming part of German African Colonies and their claims of the Solomon Islands.  The last Tafaifa of all of Samoa, was my fifth Great Grandfather, Malietoa Talavou, from le Maota O Pouesi, or the House of Pouesi, whom had passed away on 9th November, 1880. Very accurate, except for the Eastern Polynesian settlement dates which ought to be earlier, since the descendants of the Samoans who had settled, modern Society Islands, and French Polynesia to Hawaii by 400AD. Also, the Rapa Nui settlers would have been able to travel to South America and not the other way round and since there was a sudden disappearance and entropic demise of the Rapa Nui Islanders it may be explained with the Islanders migrating to South America, and had since become assimilated into the local Indian cultures over the centuries? Always open to conjecture. But, overall, I agree with the initial Taiwan ground zero point of departure. Very good informative, and educational. Understandably, due to the lack of documentary evidence from the period, it would be remiss of anthropologists and ethnologists to trace the etymological origins of pre Sumerian cultures from when they had orginally came from, over five thousand years ago. We, the Polynesians had migrated out of South East Asia over three thousand years ago, during the Lapita pottery period as Austronesian speakers from South East Asia. We are said to have evolved from Moden Malaysia and Taiwan migrating Eastward peopling the entire Pacific Ocean whilst at the same time, the Phoenicians were conquering the very modest Mediterranean Sea 1,000 BCE. We, the Austronesians which branched off into the separate races of Melanesian, Micronesians and Polynesians had emerged from South East Asia to people and settle the Pacific Ocean Islands, by 1,000BCE. The Australian guard of honour welcomed the Samoan Prime Minister to Australia in a formal visit to Australia. At the back of the official state visit is the issue of  the AUKUS Treaty whilst the world is on the verge of an inflection point in history.
