  The American political and military think tank, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), have run a war game simulation based on a futuristic Chinese invasion of Taiwan, using known Open Source Intelligence Sources, (OSINT), in which, the CSIS experts predicted an American Taiwan victory. The problems with the CSIS simulation are many, and most obvious of these refutations made by the Eurasian Naval Insight, is that the simulations was the fact that the simulations were based on historical empirical military precedents, and in thus, the historical based military case scenarios was drawn upon past military experiences of attempted island invasions, which were either thwarted, or simply aborted before an attempt was made. These aborted historical documented island invasion attempts included the planned American military invasion of the Japanese occupied Taiwan in 1944. With the announcement of the German Government of the approval to deploy 100 Leopard 2 German Main Battle Tanks to Ukraine, this has inspired the Russians to rekindle the Patriotic War fervour amongst the Russian people like no other.  Russians have very long memories and the Patriotic War, the conflict between the Russians and the Germans in 1942-43, at the Russian Steppes, has been rekindled 80 years later. Chinese PLAN and BRICS Plus within the Pacific Region. By Tim Tufuga  China and the Chinese People’s liberation Army Navy (PLAN) is expected to be the Asia Pacific Blue Water Military Hegemon by 2035. The Solomon Islands has become the foothold for the Chinese PLAN into the Pacific region.  Samoa, as the Polynesian central Pacific strategic position will be considered an important strategic military port for the Chinese PLAN by 2035 as the Strings of Pearls regional policy has aimed to woo the Samoan Government to enjoin the Chinese geostrategic ambitions which will mutually reward the Samoan underdeveloped economic position moving forward.  With the current Ukrainian conflict, the Sino-Russian relations has been considered strategically important for many non-aligned Nations which would include Samoa and Solomon Islands.
